PTA Cash is becoming Volo Cash
We're excited to announce that PTA Cash is getting a new name. Same team, same product, new identity.
Why the name change?
As we've grown, we've heard from more and more organizations beyond traditional PTAs. The name "PTA Cash" didn't reflect the full range of groups we serve. Also, the acronym PTA is trademarked and we want to avoid confusion.
Volo Cash better represents our mission: making financial management simple for any volunteer-run organization. ("Volo" means "I wish" or "Volunteer" in Latin — fitting for a tool that helps people like you get things done.)
What stays the same
- Same team — the people building and supporting the product aren't changing.
- Same features — everything you use today works exactly the same way.
- Your data — all expenses, budgets, signatures, and configuration are there. Nothing is lost.
What you need to do
- Update your links — change any links in your reimbursement instructions to point to https://volocash.com. The new domain is ready, you can make your change any time. If you don't change your links, the old links will continue to work for the next year.
Timeline
In the coming weeks, you'll start to see the new name and branding appear across the site, in emails, and in notifications. We'll keep both ptacash.com and volocash.com working during the transition, and old links will redirect automatically.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to create a new account?
No. Your existing account works as-is. You'll log in the same way (Google sign-in), and all your data is already there.
Will my bookmarks still work?
Yes. All ptacash.com links will redirect to the equivalent volocash.com page for at least one year.
Will old email links break?
No. Links in previously sent emails will continue to work through automatic redirects for at least the next year.
Does this affect our organization's data or settings?
Not at all. Budget items, expenses, roles, signatures — everything stays exactly as it is.
